- Begins with a phone consultation.
- A parent intake session is scheduled. This is an opportunity for parents to see the counselling space, share the current challenges, and goals of therapy are discussed.
- Children work with various modalities, including art, sand, play, talk and mindfulness.
- Parents as partners
- After 4 or 5 sessions, a follow up parent consultation meeting is
recommended, where strategies are discussed to support their child. - Discussions may include planning around Individual Education Plans (IEP), psych-ed assessment recommendations & medical diagnoses.
